History

NCSOFT made its debut in Korea with the much-loved Lineage in 1998, followed by Lineage 2 in 2003. The Lineage franchise remains a favorite of millions of players around the world.

NCSOFT broke new ground in 2005 with the subscription-free Guild Wars in 2005. A global smash hit, Guild Wars became one of the most popular MMOs of all time. In 2008, Aion was released, spreading NCSOFT’s wings even wider throughout the world. Today, NCSOFT has evolved in to one of the world’s premier developers and publishers of online games. NCSOFT continues to make history by delighting and entertaining players around the world.
